Press Release

DegreeBound will Launch on March 10, 2020
Converging Spring of 2020, DegreeBound’s team decided the release of the college lifestyle
magazine will be released in March of 2020, with bi-monthly article releases. The website’s
mission is to bring awareness to current and incoming college students.
In the first issue, there will be a multitude of different articles ranging from study habits to
recreational activities to stay busy in universities across the country. The articles are written
and edited from college students to try to keep realistic expectations and to stay with the
current times.
DegreeBound hopes to create marketing partnerships and to find sponsorships from different
college companies such as Chegg, on-campus magazines, Buzzfeed, and any companies that
revolve around college. With partnerships with companies such as Chegg, DegreeBound can
work hand in hand to develop better study habits for students and find different ways to find
success in college, and possibly create promotional codes to get subscriptions at a discounted
rate. Originating from Pullman, prior to the release date DegreeBound plans to partner with
Washington State University to create an opening statement that will be released by the
school.
The target audience will range from seniors in high school, to current college students, and
possibly parents who would like to know what college students are doing and would like to
be “hip” (up to date).
DegreeBound will have a night launch party on March 9, like a New Year’s Eve celebration,
the party will go past midnight into the actual date of the release (10 th ). Food and drink will
be provided, first come first serve.
