Degree Bound was founded January 2020 by a group of passionate writers who met in their English 402 class. There, they realized their common interest in writing about different college survival guide articles.
Jennifer Nguyen
General Manager &, web designer
Jennifer is a senior at Washington State University finishing her last year in hopes for a long term career in marketing. She along with her fellow colleagues founded Degree Bound to try and help college students manage and get through their 4+ years. Jennifer is very passionate about writing, interacting with people, making art, web designing, and enjoys hanging out with her friends and family. Through her courses at WSU she has studied many English, communications, marketing, and art courses. She has has experience in being leader, planning and hosting events, and assisted and is in charge of three students for Bumble with marketing, media, and community outreach
Hunter Mitchell
VP Manager & Senior Editor
Hunter is a senior studying applied mathematics at Washington State University. He has been a devoted writer with Degree Bound since the beginning. Before joining the Degree Bound team, Hunter enjoyed developing mobile applications as well as designing and solving puzzles.
Hunter has always had an interest in the creative arts. You will most likely see him listening to music, watching various movies, enjoying stand up comedy, reading or painting. These qualities mixed with his analytical skills make him a multi-talented person.
A quote that resembles him most is “The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious” said by Albert Einstein.
Blake Marsh
Senior Manager
Blake is from Spokane Valley Washington and is a Senior at Washington State University getting dual degrees in Psychology and Marketing. His interests include studying the brain, understanding why people behave the way that they do, and learning new methods to manipulate people to behave a certain way. He hopes to one day gain a position in where he sells products that improve people's lives or a position where he can improve the well-being of people’s lives using the psychological tactics he has learned in college.
He has 6 years of experience developing papers explaining psychological difficulties people face such why people develop addictive behaviors, how psychological disorders originate, and ways to increase the well-being of people. He holds strong beliefs that people can always improve their life and attempts to persuade people to strive for better everyday. He is inspired by the people who attempt to achieve better mental status by learning from their past mistakes and experiences. In other words, people who strive towards their next goal and don’t reminisce on the previous goal inspire him. A quote sums up how he lives his life.

Danny Ngo
Intern
Originating from Seattle, Danny now attends Washington State University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a minor in mathematics. Danny occasionally likes to write recreationally and has a passion for the little things in life, such as finding money that is forgotten or eating breakfast in the morning.
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams” - Eleanor Roosevelt, is his favorite quote.
Danny is ambitious, having many different goals he would like to achieve in his life. These goals include getting his pilot's license, becoming a structural engineer, and going to space. After all these exciting activities, he would like to retire and create an endowment that will provide scholarships for students in need.
